When you start teaching tricks, doggy manners are really important! To get your WACKO canine to pay attention to you, hold any yummy SCHMACKOS treat in your hand and that'll really encourage them to follow your hand movements.

If your dog tries to snatch the treat (and what dog wouldn't want to when there is a great SCHMACKOS treat on offer). BUT remember, to be really WACKO - manners first!

Have a SCHMACKOS treat in your closed fist and don't open your fist until your dog stops pushing or poking at it. As soon as they move back from your fist say 'gently' and open your fist and hey presto, they get a yummy SCHMACKOS treat.

Do the whole thing over until your dog gets the idea that 'gently' means getting a terrific SCHMACKOS treat. Good manners do pay off!

But be aware, your dog should never bite or nip at you at any time. If they do please consult a professional dog trainer for help to stop this behaviour.
